The kindergarten year is filled with new experiences, friendships, learning, and lots of growth. Our KES secretaries Mrs. Magel and Mrs. Cuson will be reaching out to kindergarten families by phone to schedule your child’s Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. Please keep an eye out for a call from the school and be sure to answer or return the call so we can find a convenient time for your child’s assessment. We are excited to welcome our newest Wildcat parents and guardians to Kindergarten Orientation on Friday, September 4th at 10:00 AM! Please enter through the cafeteria entrance and doors will open at 9:30am This is a wonderful opportunity for parents/guardians to visit the school, meet members of our kindergarten team, learn more about the school day, and help your child feel comfortable and excited about starting kindergarten. We can’t wait to see you there parents and guardians!

Tuesday, September 8th is the first day of Kindergarten at Keystone Elementary! Doors will open for entering the building at 8:45am please ensure you are parked in the back parking lot use the cross walk and enter through the doors. You will need to leave promptly by 9am so that we can get our day of Kindergarten started. We are so excited to welcome our newest Wildcats to school for a year filled with learning, friendship, fun, and growth. We know the first day can bring lots of excitement (and maybe a few butterflies!), but our kindergarten team is ready to make this a wonderful start to your child’s school journey. We can’t wait to see our kindergarten Wildcats walk through the doors!

The last few weeks of summer are a great time to help your child feel confident and ready for kindergarten! Families can practice simple routines such as getting dressed independently, opening lunch containers, using the restroom, following directions, and cleaning up after themselves. Reading together each day, practicing your child’s name, and talking positively about school can also help build excitement for the big day. Most importantly, enjoy these final summer moments together and remind your child that kindergarten is a place to learn, make friends, and have fun! 🐾💜

Our cafeteria team is excited to welcome our Wildcats back for another great school year! Students will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of nutritious and delicious breakfast and lunch options each day. Families can view the monthly lunch menu to see what will be served and help your child plan for their school meals. We encourage families to review the menu together and talk with your child about making healthy choices and trying new foods. We look forward to serving our Wildcats all year long!
