Message from Nicole Pease, Principal Teacher at DCS
Hello DCS families, I hope you have had a great week! It has been a cold but fun week here at school. Despite the very cold evenings, we have been able to get outside a couple of days for recess. Even though the weather may be predicted to be very cold, if the real feel temperature is 10 degrees or higher, we will be sure to be outside, so please send your student's winter gear each day just in case. Thank you!
We have had two visits from 12 Dublin School students to volunteer at DCS as part of their January Term Programming. Our students were so excited to be able to meet and spend time working with the "big kids." The Dublin School students were a big help and loved the time they spent with us. We hope they will come back another time.
Last night was the first Game/Puzzle Night coordinated by the PTO. While it is a busy time of year, many families were able to attend. Students and their families enjoyed some time together playing games. Twister was a big hit with the students. There was a lot of positive feedback about the relaxed evening and we look forward to doing it again. Thanks so much to the PTO!
Today, we are so happy the temperature has warmed up, it made for a great day to be outside! Some of our students went to Crotched Mountain with the Ski and Ride Program, those students at school enjoyed cross country skiing and sledding on the field as well as snow shoeing in the woods! It was a wonderful way to end the week! Have a restful weekend, Nicole

Recently, there have been numerous student requests for cough drops. As cough drops are considered medication, I am asking for your help in following the ConVal policy on medication administration at the elementary level. To do this, any medication, including cough drops, must be delivered to the school by a parent/guardian or their designated responsible adult in the original container. A written permission form is also required which is available at DCS.
Please reach out to me at pmurphy@conval.edu if you have any questions.
