A Message From Principal Kilpatrick
Dear Highlander Families,
Welcome to another exciting school year at McAndrew Elementary! I hope your family had a restful, fun-filled summer and is ready for an incredible year ahead. We are thrilled to welcome both our returning families and those joining our McAndrew community for the very first time.
This year, our theme is Building All-Stars: Every Student, Every Day, because we believe Every Swing Counts! Every day is an opportunity for our students to learn, grow, and become the best version of themselves, and we can't wait to cheer them on every step of the way.
This newsletter is the first of many you'll receive throughout the year and is designed to help your family prepare for a successful start to school. Inside, you will find important information about upcoming events, campus procedures, and everything you need to know as we begin another amazing year together.
Over the next couple of weeks, you can expect a phone call and Dojo message from your child's teacher. Please know that class placements are made with thoughtful consideration and care. We consider many factors when creating balanced classrooms that support students' academic achievement, social- emotional growth, and overall success. Every decision is made with the best interests of our students in mind. Because of the time and collaboration involved in this process, classroom placements are considered final and will not be changed at this time.
Thank you for being such an important part of the McAndrew Family. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Let's make this school year a home run!
Go Highlanders!
Sincerely,
Vicki Kilpatrick, Proud Principal
