Happy Saturday Windsong Ranch Families,

Help us show our community some love! Prosper ISD is hosting our annual food drive from April 13โ€“17 and the Ranch has been asked to collect specific high-need items:

  • Oil
  • Canned Chicken
  • Canned Tuna
  • Jelly (no glass, please)
  • Canned Meals (stew, SpaghettiOs, etc.)

Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference. Donations can be dropped off to the WRE front office. Thank you for partnering with us to support local families in need.

Have a great weekend! We'll see you back at the Ranch on Monday.

Together we Prosper,

Michelle Qualls

โญ Important Notes โญ Important Notes

Parent Feedback Survey

Your feedback helps us reflect on what is working well and identify areas where we can continue to grow and improve. Please take a few minutes to complete our parent feedback survey. Your input is incredibly valuable as we plan for next year and work to ensure the best possible experience for our students and families.

Field Day

Field Day is coming up on April 30 and May 1. It's going to be a 2 day extravaganza, similar to last year. Click here for more information and to sign up to be a volunteer and/or spectator for the outdoor activities. More details will be coming soon. Please direct any questions to Coach McClain and Coach Connor.

PE Summer Camp at the Ranch

Our very own Coach McClain and Coach Connor will be hosting a PE summer camp at the Ranch this June. Check out the flyer for more information and scan the QR code or click here to register. Spots are filling up fast!

  • Dates: June 8-11
  • Time: 8am - 11am
  • Who can attend: incoming 3rd - 5th graders
  • Cost: $155
  • Location: WRE Gym

๐Ÿ˜Ž Summer Camp Registration is Open!

Prosper ISD is offering over 275 summer camps this yearโ€” including Athletics, Fine Arts, UIL Academics, CTE, and all-new Elementary Enrichment Camps, including Kindergarten Readiness.

Please note that some camps have grade level or attendance zone criteria to register. View camp descriptions, dates, and registration details here.

Dismissal Reminder

As the weather gets nicer and we all enjoy spending a little more time outside, we want to share a few friendly reminders about dismissal procedures to help keep everyone safe and our afternoons running smoothly:

  • All dismissal changes must go through the front office.

  • Changes must be communicated before 1:30 PM.

  • We cannot accept dismissal changes after 1:30 PM.

  • Students cannot be checked out after 2:30 PM.

  • If your child is a car rider, you must use the car line for pickup.

For the safety of students and staff, we cannot release students to parents who walk up. If you arrive on foot, you will be asked to return to your vehicle and go through the car line. We appreciate your understanding and partnership in helping us keep dismissal safe, organized, and smooth for everyone.

Gum at School

To keep our classroom clean and focused on learning, gum is not allowed at school. Gum can be distracting, messy, and difficult to clean from floors, desks, and furniture. If a student chooses to bring gum to school, it will be thrown away, and repeated incidents may result in additional consequences. Thank you for helping keep our classroom clean and ready for learning!

Kids Heart Challenge is here! Our students are learning how to keep their hearts and brains healthy, and raising funds to help kids with special hearts.

Weโ€™re asking all families to sign up and complete Finnโ€™s Mission, where they will learn Hands-Only CPR and the warning signs of a stroke. All students who sign up will receive a wristband.

Hereโ€™s how you can help:

  1. Sign Up Today or download the AHA Schools app.
  2. Complete Finnโ€™s Mission: Share with family and friends through social media, text and/or email so they too can learn the warning signs of stroke and Hands-Only CPR.

Thank you for supporting our school and students in saving lives!

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEBโ€™s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

๐Ÿซถ THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
