One Life to Live - How Much of it will be Spent Looking at a Screen? One Life to Live - How Much of it will be Spent Looking at a Screen?

This video was shared with me recently by a respected colleague. I have probably seen over 100 presentations, videos, etc. on adolescent screen time and other dangers associated with misuse of technology and social media. This one is as powerful, if not more so, than any I have seen.

Please consider taking ten minutes or so to check it out. I really think you will be amazed by the information and much of it can be applied to our kids and, frankly, to us grown ups as well..

Thursday November 6

On Thursday November 6, our 8th graders will participate in two events aimed at learning more about our excellent hometown high school school. In the morning, students will walk up the hill for an informational presentation and tour from 9:15 - 10:45.

Please contact your child's teacher or Mr. Aucoin if you have any concerns about your child walking up to Shepherd Hill with the teachers.

In the evening, beginning at 5:15 PM, Shepherd Hill Principal Darren Elwell and his staff will be at Dudley Middle during parent conferences to address parents/guardians and answer questions about Shepherd Hill.

All 8th Grade Families are Strongly encouraged to attend. All grade level families are welcome to attend. This is a great opportunity to learn all there is to know about our outstanding hometown school, which has been educating our community for over 50 years!

Schedule Changes for Quarter 2 Schedule Changes for Quarter 2

As we begin a new quarter, some students may experience very minor changes to their class schedules. These adjustments are made to best accommodate student needs, ensure balanced class sizes, and support each learner’s academic growth.

If your student’s schedule is affected, he/she will receive an updated schedule in homeroom on Monday. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make these changes to provide the best possible learning experience for all students.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact your child's teacher or guidance counselor.
