October 2025 Newsletter
π» Boo!
Hello KSD Families and Community,
September brought us beautiful fall sunshine and a busy, exciting start to the school year! The first month has flown by, filled with learning, activities, and community spirit. Our elementary students have already enjoyed engaging field trips and even visits from reptile expertsβwith more adventures to come in October. At the middle school, students are settling in smoothly and excelling in fall sports, including cross country, football, and volleyball. Meanwhile, high school students are celebrating Homecoming this week, a time-honored tradition full of pride and connection.
We encourage families to stay connected by downloading the KSD mobile app, which provides quick access to the latest news, schedules, updates, and meal menus. In this edition of the newsletter, you will also find important information about the upcoming supplemental levy election.
Finally, we want to remind everyone of our districtβs primary goal this year: improving student attendance. Every day at school makes a difference, and together we can ensure that our students are present, engaged, and learning at their fullest potentialβbecause #EveryDayCounts!

A Warm Gesture
The Kellogg School District is deeply grateful to Post Falls resident Cheryl McGee for her incredibly generous and thoughtful gift. Over the past year, Ms. McGee has been gathering brand new and gently used coats, and on September 26, she and her friends delivered 400 coats in all sizes to our central office. These coats will be shared with students at all four of our schools to help keep them warm through the winter months. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. McGee and her friends for this wonderful act of kindness and support for our kids.

He works alongside Mrs. Heiser in the counseling officee to aide in providing comfort, emotional support, and a calm presence in a variety of school settings. You will see his friendly face strolling the building, giving nose bumps, "squishing" and more! Check out his awesome school picture!

A huge thank you to Paige Harder and Louise Haley for their incredible generosity! After reading about the recent upgrades to our Ag Sciences program in the Shoshone News-Press, they donated $5,000 to support our studentsβ learning!
