Enrollment is up and running for the 25-26 4-H year. If you are a returning 4-H member or volunteer please log in to your profile at v2.4honline.com and re-enroll for the current year. We understand that some people aren't ready to think of the new 4-H year but it will fly by sooner than you think! The sooner you get your enrollment done, and pay the $15 4-H program fee, the better! This will help us with planning programing for this new year! Please note that some clubs pay their enrollment fees for you, please check with your club leaders for that information.

If you know of anyone that you think would like to join 4-H please encourage them to join in on the fun! They can contact the office by calling 574-935-8545. If you know of anyone that would like to become a screened volunteer please have them make a profile in 4-H Online or add themselves to their family profile. They will need to provide 3 references and watch the training videos in order to be screened.

4-H Volunteer Enrollment 4-H Volunteer Enrollment

There are only three steps to completing the annual 4-H Volunteer Enrollment process in 4-H Online and most volunteers will have only one required training to complete! Last year, all 4-H Volunteers were required to complete the Youth Protection Program Director training, we added this training in place of the Youth Protection Program Staff training that volunteers completed in the 2023-2024
4-H Program Year. Each of these Youth Protection trainings are required every two years and are now being tracked in 4-H Online so they will automatically appear as
Required on your Training page which is the third step of your enrollment process.

Please be sure to complete all trainings that display as Required on your Training page as soon as possible. Trainings must be completed before your Enrollment can be approved. If your county 4-H Educator or support staff send a follow up reminder to go in and complete your training, they are trying to get you approved to assume volunteer duties, so be sure to attend to their requests in a timely fashion.

Many volunteers this year will have to complete only one training, the Youth Protection Program Staff training. New Applicants will always have to complete all three trainings, the 4-H Volunteer Orientation and the Youth Protection Program Staff training and the Youth Protection Program Director training. Those who were New Applicants last year will not have to complete any trainings this year, but next year will have to complete two, the Youth Protection Program Staff training and the Youth Protection Program Director training. You can add any of these and complete them in a non-required year as a refresher or to be proactive for the next program year!

Volunteer Resources and Reminders

There are a number of resources on the State 4-H webpage that can help with your volunteer role or understand 4-H Policies and Procedures and expectations. A few that I find most helpful are listed below, but they are not the only places to find good information and resources!

  • Policies and Procedures
  • 4-H Adult Behavioral Expectations
  • Volunteer Resources and Development (public copies of volunteer role descriptions and much more!)
  • Club Resources
  • Shooting Sports Volunteer Resources
