Dearest CHES Families!

We hope you had a restful and joyful Thanksgiving break filled with love, laughter, and gratitude. As we step into December, the season of kindness and good cheer, let’s carry that warmth into our school community.

With just a few weeks left before the holiday break, it's a great time to check in on your student's progress. Please continue to monitor grades and encourage them to stay motivated and finish the semester strong. Together, we can ensure they end the year on a high note!

Let’s make this month one filled with positivity, compassion, and success. We’re grateful for your partnership and excited for all we’ll accomplish together this December!

Check back next week and we will share the joy and fun we had for our first (and definitely not the last) CHESgiving!

Until Next Week...

Just a friendly reminder...

Several of our talented Capitol Heights Elementary School students have been selected to perform at the prestigious PGCPS All County Honors Orff Ensemble; our very own Mr. Pierre is the director!

This is a remarkable achievement for Jamir Almazar, Edward Bright II, Josiah Edwards, Grace Emmel, Madison Ann Jackson, Victoria Logossou, Avery Porter, Erika Reaves, Dyllan Render, Danielle Singleton, Kenzie Tchagah, Estella Thomas, and Kaliyah Thorpe.

The PGCPS All County Honors Ensembles are an integral part of our Music Enrichment Program and offer unique opportunities for selected participants to showcase their musical abilities. Being chosen for this ensemble is a testament to the hard work and dedication these students have put into their craft.

Participating in such an event not only provides recognition for our school but also enhances the overall reputation of our music program. It demonstrates that we are committed to fostering talent and excellence among our students.

The performance is on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 7pm - Fairmont Height High School (The New Location in Columbia Park) Admission is Free.
