Summer 2025 Edition
Dear UES Families and Caregivers,
We hope this message finds you enjoying a wonderful and well-deserved summer break! Whether you're traveling, relaxing, or simply enjoying time together as a family, we encourage you to make the most of the season. We also hope our students are spending a few minutes each day reading, staying curious, and finding joy in the little moments.
While our halls may be quiet, we’re busy preparing for another exciting school year—and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back. Below are some important updates and information to help you and your child feel ready for the 2025–2026 school year.
Wishing you continued fun, rest, and sunshine,
Dr. Lindsay Jablonski and the UES Leadership Team
Read It Forward Book- A Rover's Story!
This year’s Read It Forward book is A Rover’s Story by Jasmine Warga. It follows Resilience (Res), a Mars rover who isn't just programmed for exploration—he discovers what it means to feel, connect, and persist. Res is courageous, vulnerable, and determined to overcome the unknown. His journey is a beautiful reminder that no matter the obstacle, resilience and heart can take us far.
Summer Updates from UES
Our team has been busy preparing the building for another great school year. One exciting improvement includes updates to our main office to better serve families and highlight student celebrations. We want our office to be a space that reflects the warmth and pride of our school community.
New This Year: SMART Pass
This fall, we will be introducing SMART Pass, a digital hallway pass system designed to support safe and efficient movement throughout the building. It allows us to better monitor traffic, support students, and ensure a secure school environment. More information will be shared as we get closer to the start of the year.
4th Grade Welcome Event – Ice Cream Social!
We are so excited to welcome our incoming 4th graders! Please join us on Tuesday, August 26th at 2:00 PM for our annual Ice Cream Social, generously sponsored by our Home and School Association. It’s a fun way for students and families to meet staff, connect with new friends, and start the year on a sweet note!
UES Leadership Team
We are thrilled to officially welcome Ms. Sara Smith to the Moorestown community as our new Assistant Principal. Ms. Smith will serve as the AP for 5th grade and half of 6th grade.
