Dear Families,
Can you believe that this is the last weekly newsletter?! It is bittersweet; I think we can all agree that is has been a fantastic year full of learning, friendships, and awesome memories....but bring on the summer! We are all so grateful for your support and involvement during the 22-23 school year. There were so many exciting events at Wessagusset this week! The Grade 3 Cereal Box Domino Relay, the Grade 2 Camping Adventure, and of course our phenomenal Field Day were all awesome highlights! Big, big thank yous to Mr. Clougherty, Mrs. Byrne, Parent Council, and all of the incredible volunteers who made the day so special for students and staff. We made so many great memories! Below please find helpful information for the week ahead:
We will be collecting Chromebooks, iPads, and chargers from students in Grades K-4 tomorrow (6/12) and Tuesday (6/13). The devices will stay at school over the summer and be redistributed in the fall. Please make sure your student brings their Chromebook, iPad, and charger to school with them for collection tomorrow or Tuesday. Grade 5 students will keep their Chromebooks over the summer and bring them to Maria Weston Chapman in September.
The 5th Grade Band Concert will be held on tomorrow, June 12th at 7:00 in the Chapman Auditorium. More information can be found here: Grade 5 Band Concert
Tuesday, June 13th is a half-day with dismissal at 11:50 am.
Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, takes place on Monday, June 19th. There is no school on Monday, June 19th to observe the holiday. Helpful resources and information for students can be found here:
The last scheduled SEPAC meeting will take place on June 20th at 7pm. This presentation will be recorded. See newsletter for more details: https://bit.ly/3IYg8hO

School Supplies for the 23-24 School Year: Please be aware that the Weymouth Public Schools will be providing all of the supplies needed for elementary school students in the upcoming school year, including pencils, crayons, folders, scissors, etc. As a result, we will not be sending out grade-level supply lists. Families are encouraged to send their child with a backpack and lunch box, and are still welcome to provide supplies and/or donate items (i.e. paper towels, cleaning wipes, tissues) if they choose to do so, but all essential supplies will be provided by WPS.
Important “Save the Dates” for Grade 5:
