UWO Titan Youth Spirit Day/HS Band Day
Eighth grader Elliott (not pictured) participated as an Advanced Twirler while Omro High School students Katherine and Erick had the exciting opportunity to march in the pre-game parade with the UWO Titan Thunder Marching Band, Omro’s new band director, Mr. Rohan. The day began with a 9 a.m. sectional rehearsal on the field alongside college students and their UWO staff mentors, followed by learning spots for the field show and a full rehearsal with the College Band. Students also joined in playing Stand Tunes during the first half of the game in the grandstands, gaining valuable experience in preparation, sight-reading, and the culture of post-secondary band life. While the halftime show was unfortunately cancelled due to lightning, the event was still a fun, memorable, and rewarding opportunity for all.

IN THE KNOW
Free & Reduced Meal Benefits Expire October 2nd
Each school year, families must complete a new Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application to continue receiving meal benefits.
We are currently carrying over eligibility from the 2024–2025 school year, but that carryover period ends on October 2, 2025.
Beginning October 6, 2025, any student who does not have a new application on file (or who has not received a direct certification letter from Food Service for this school year) will be changed to full pay status until a new determination is made.
If your family currently receives free or reduced-price meals and you have not received a letter
from Food Service confirming your eligibility for the 2025–2026 school year, you must submit a
new application before October 6th.
Applications are available in your school’s main office, can be printed from our website at https://www.omro.k12.wi.us/page/food-service, or completed online through your family’s Skyward account. Families who have not yet reapplied and have not qualified through Direct Certification will also receive a letter in the mail as a reminder. Please watch for this notice.
If you are unsure of your eligibility status, please feel free to contact Darann Morgan at
dmorg@omro.k12.wi.us or 920-303-2314 for assistance.
Submitting your application as soon as possible will ensure there is no interruption in your
child’s meal benefits.
