Our Library is Online and Open 24/7

Hello, Iroquois Middle School students! First and foremost, I want you to know that I am thinking of all of you and hope you are staying safe, healthy, and happy.

Be kind to yourselves and others, get moving outside, and of course carve out a little time for reading, too!

Your Ideas Needed!

Our world is changing and so are your needs. How can the library support you during these times? In what ways would you like to connect? What resources and new books are you hoping to see?

Please take a few moments to answer the Microsoft Forms survey questions below.

Microsoft Forms

New Library Page on Microsoft Teams

Our library will be utilizing Microsoft Teams for special library events and competitions. In the coming weeks, I'll be organizing Gimkit/Kahoot competitions, meetups to talk about books, and maybe even a Harry Potter trivia competition!

To join the Teams page for the latest updates, go to your Teams homepage, click the button on the upper right for Join or create team, and enter this code: l09xgx7

Book Reading of Ghost by Jason Reynolds

Are you looking for something to listen to? I have posted a book reading of the entire story of Ghost by Jason Reynolds. Ghost is the story of middle school student, Castle Cranshaw (aka Ghost), whose life is changed for the better when he joins an elite track team.

This is available only on the library's Teams page. Use the join code above to access the book reading!

New Books on Sora

If you haven't visited Sora, our service for ebooks and audiobooks, there are over 400 new titles that have just been added. At the top of your Sora homepage, you'll see a section for "Always Available Books" which you can checkout instantly.

Did you know that you can connect Sora to the public library's ebook and audiobook collection? Ask Ms. Muhlbauer how!

Updates to Middle School Library Website

All of the same content you're used to seeing on our website is still there! The databases, Sora access instructions, and detailed information for classroom projects remain.

A few new pages have been added, too. Check out the "Learning from Home" page for great resources to use at home. This page is being updated with author/illustrator content, virtual field trips, and more!

The "Coding is Fun!" page links to numerous websites to help you hone your computer coding skills. Enjoy!
