Bulldog Beat 03/17/25 to 03/21/25

Valley had two special visitors come in and speak on Wednesday to our Kindergarten, 1st grade, and second grade classes about Agriculture Literacy Week. Our students got to hear stories and learn the importance of Agriculture in all areas of life from Delegate Israel O'Quinn and Sarah Wilson with the Washington County Farm Bureau Women's Committee. The teachers also loved having Mrs. Wilson who runs a cattle farm with her husband Adam Wilson come in and share information that followed along with the current curriculum they are teaching in their classes. Second grader Marlee said, "I thought it was fun and I want to do a farm too. It was interesting." Thank you Delegate O'Quinn and Mrs. Wilson for taking the time to visit and share such important information with our students.

On Thursday night the VIES PTO hosted a Bulldog Bingo Night for families. Local organizations donated food and prizes for families to win who came out to play. It was a fun and exciting way for families and students to come together and help raise funds for the VIES PTO. The PTO had a great turn out of families and faculty ready to compete for fun prizes. They were able to raise over $600; Erin Eads, head of the VIES PTO, said it was "awesome, as this will help with PTO's next donation and make the Bulldog Blast a success." The final and biggest prize of the night, two free tickets to WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge was won by a Valley student. Thank you to everyone that came and/or supported Valley!

The John Battle Soccer Team is selling "JSB" Umbrellas, in hopes of raising money for equipment, apparel, gifts, etc., as well as assisting with materials for a new Junior Varsity coed team to play this spring. This is a pre order and umbrellas will cost $25 each. They are the large 48'' ones. Umbrellas will be delivered to you. You may purchase at the link below or at the QR attachment.

We would like to thank all of our families that have donated to the PBIS store. Students are excited to be able to spend their Bulldog Bucks they are earning during the 3rd nine weeks. The 3rd nine weeks PBIS store will be March 12, 2025. If you would still like to donate, please review the attached letter below.

You can register on the county website if you have not already signed up or you can call the school and request your student's login information.
