Rio Vista Procedures

The gate at the northwest corner of campus is the Lower Gate.

Students who walk to/from school from the neighborhood west of Rio Vista, bike riders, and students whose parents choose to drive to this neighborhood, park, and walk their student(s) to/from school will use this gate. If you will be driving to this area to walk your student to the gate, please do not park your vehicle on Yucca Loma Road. Instead, pull into the neighborhood off of Kasanka Trail. We ask that you please park along the west side of Kasanka Trail where there are no houses.

Students who live in the neighborhood east of Havasu Road and south of Yucca Loma Road and who are designated walkers will use the gate south of the library to enter/exit the school. At dismissal, walkers will exit this gate and will proceed to the crosswalk on Havasu Road where they will be released. We ask that any parents, whose students are walkers, that would like to meet their student(s) to walk them home, please meet them on the southeast corner of Havasu Road and Cronese Lane.

Only students who live in the above mentioned neighborhood will be released from this gate at dismissal.

The car drop off gate opens at 8:50 am.

The line to enter the Rio Vista parking lot forms on Cronese Lane. The line will turn right onto Havasu Road, then left into the parking lot. All cars that intend to drop their child(ren) off curbside in the parking lot will enter this line. To get into the line, if you are driving south on Havasu Road, turn left onto Yucca Loma Road, right on Cochise Road, and take the first right onto Cronese Lane. Follow the line into the parking lot. When exiting the parking lot, it is a right turn only.
