At Chandler Elementary, our students demonstrate the 10 VISD values each day, and we are excited to recognize their leadership. Each month, we will celebrate one student from every homeroom who exemplifies the VISD Value of the Month. In February, our focus value was Responsibility!

On Friday, February 27th, Chandler Elementary held our second Fin-tastic Leader Award Celebration. Students were honored for their outstanding character and recognized with a certificate and a special reward—a free scoop of ice cream (coupon) from Baskin Robbins.

The VISD Citizenship Ready Plan is a districtwide initiative designed to ensure that students develop the skills and dispositions needed to become productive and responsible citizens. A primary goal of the plan is to promote positive behaviors and character development. The plan also incorporates a framework for addressing behavioral issues in a fair and consistent manner, including zero tolerance for specific behaviors.
