Dear Oak Brook Families,

Obee’s Eagle Dash is up and running! Our celebration fun run will be October 22 for all students. Our fundraising goal is to raise $20,000 toward upgrading the marquee (the electronic sign) at the front of the school! We are almost half way there!

Please share your student’s page with friends and family from MyBooster.com. Every share makes a difference!

Students are also enjoying 'Global Kitchen Club,' an exciting character-building adventure where they're learning important values through recipes and activities popular around the world.

Please call 314-415-6550 and push 1 to leave an attendance message if your child will be late or absent. This will help the office ladies and they won't have to call you.

The fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Oak Brook November 9-13! Check out this Book Fair homepage to preview books and set up an eWallet for your children. The eWallet is a digital payment account allowing you to fund your child's purchases in advance.

Students will visit the library twice this week, first to preview and make a wish list and second to purchase. Here is the schedule of days and times your child will go. The Book Fair will be open to families during conferences Tuesday, November 10 from 2:45-4:30 and Thursday November 12 from 2:45-7:45.

The Book Fair needs several volunteers to help throughout the week. Please use this link to sign up to volunteer. In order to volunteer, a background check will need to be completed if you haven't done so this school year. Thanks in advance for your help!

Dear Parents & Guardians,

The dentist is coming to Oak Brook on November 4th! The School Smiles on-site dental program provides comprehensive on-site dental care at our school for students that sign-up to participate and are eligible to be seen. The dental team will set up inside our school to see students for dental cleanings. They accept Medicaid, private insurance, offer self-pay rates and grants through their foundation. Registration is now open online at https://schoolsmiles.com/student-signup/ with over 100 languages to choose from when completing the online form. As a reminder, School Smiles requires a registration form be filled out for each student.

A paper copy registration form will also be coming home with your student this week.

We are not to give out bus passes until further notice. This means students may not get on another bus besides their normal bus, even with parent permission. Thank you for understanding as we have crowded buses this year.

Culver's Night

On Monday 11/9 we will have our Culver's Restaurant Night Rundraiser. This event is always extra fun because Oak Brook students can serve our community by acting as food runners to tables and out to the drive-thru! Please use the sign-up genius HERE below if you'd like to participate. Grab a friend or maybe a Scout Troop so you can serve together!

Boosterthon!

Thank you to everyone already participating! This fundraiser is helping the PTO plan and save for the big ticket item: updating the front marquee! This allows us to continue providing all the FREE and FUN events and resources our students and teachers love (Spirit Night, Trunk or Treat, Heritage Festival, Science Night, Field Day, Teacher Grants, OB Shirts, and more!)

Our Oak Brook Veteran's Day ceremony will be November 11, 2026. Please fill out the form below if you have a Veteran in your life that you'd like to attend the ceremony.

Our back playground will be complete with inspections around the middle of November. THE BACK FIELD IS CLOSED FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS SO WE CAN GET SOME GRASS TO GROW! If you live close to OB and like to use the field on nights or weekends, please refrain for the next month. The front playground will be a little later due to an equipment mistake. Luckily it was caught before the new surface was put down. Thank you!
