Vitt Factor Assembly for Grades 3-5

The Davis PTO sponsored an amazing assembly this week! 3rd-5th Grade students enjoyed an interactive and motivational assembly delivered by Caden Vittorini of The Vitt Factor. Caden’s relatable presence & relevant content kept students laughing, focused, and engaged. He led them through questions, examples, and funny yet thought-provoking exercises to help them grow in confidence & leadership. Please ask your 3-5 grader something that he or she learned from this presentation!

Davis families,

Illinois state law requires that all children entering kindergarten, second grade, and sixth grade will have an oral health examination. A licensed dentist must perform the dental exam and he/she shall sign and date the report form. Dental offices usually have the form, but the dental exam form can be obtained by clicking here or by visiting d303.org website under forms, then Health Services. This exam must be within 18 months of May 15, 2026.

In an effort to assist you in completing this oral health exam for your child, the Mobile Dentist will be on site at Davis on Friday, Jan. 16th provided we have enough students for the Mobile Dentist to come. Please consider taking this opportunity of in school care at little to no cost to you. Services provided are cleaning, screening, sealants, and fluoride.

Permission slips have been sent home for you to complete if interested in participating in this wonderful opportunity on Feb 2nd, 2026. Please make sure that all areas on permission slips are completed for payment before returning them. There are three payment options available to you: a reduced cash rate of $70, Medicaid/All Kids and your private insurance. If you are still deciding, have questions over the break or prefer to pay by credit card, you can always speak with Smile Illinois directly by calling 855-481-8639. If you would rather complete the permission slip online you may do so at myschooldentist.com.

**Please note that the date was originally scheduled for Monday, Feb 2nd, but has been changed to Friday, Jan. 16th.

If you have any questions, please contact your school’s health office:

Nurse Peggy or Nurse LeeAnna

phone: 331 228-2204
