Ms. Molly Ryan, Dean of Academics & Special Programs Manager
Welcome to Academy with Community Partners. I am Molly Ryan-Smith, Dean of Academics and Special Programs Manager for the 24-25 school year. I am excited to begin another year with the students and families at ACP. This year at ACP is a year of academics, students, families and community. We will build a family through positive support, strong relationships and communication. We are dedicated to your student’s success.
This will be my 31st year in education. I have been blessed to work with many families and student during these 31 years. I have taught all levels from 4th grade to high school. I am a huge advocate for students with disabilities and love supporting them through their academic years. I always appreciate it when students return to tell me all their accomplishments.
I believe that Education is the Most Powerful Weapon in Changing the World.
Mr. Chester Freas, Dean of Students
Welcome back to another great school year! I have had the privilege to enrich Arizona kids’ lives through sports for the last 20 years. From the YMCA to multiple high schools along my journey to the ACP family. Through my vision of school, family, sports, and hope, I am helping kids prepare for their next step in life. As a husband and father of 3, the next great calling in this world is “coach”. I have been coaching the kids at ACP for the last 5 years with great success on and off the court and in the classroom. In my new role as Dean of Students, I will focus on enriching the kids’ school experience by looking at all student activities, events, and culture with student resource groups, and through the lens of a student.
Mr. Taylor Sorensen, Operations Manager
Mrs. Kristina Norris, Student Success Coordinator
Welcome back Lions! I am looking forward to another great year. I love working with families to help them navigate online education. I am often affectionately referred to as “my school mom”. I support students to reach their goal of being a successful high school graduate. I have been working with families in online school platforms for more than 15 years. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, in my garden, hiking, or reading.

Tax Credit Donations
Remember that each year there is an AZ tax credit of $200 for individuals and $400 for families when you donate to a school. This means that if you give a donation of that amount to the school (with receipt) you get that as a tax credit back on your AZ state taxes. Business/Corporate donations can be up to $800. These donations are used to help our sports and other extracurricular activities. Please talk to Ms. Ramos at the front office if you'd like to make a donation. For more information, you can go to https://azdor.gov/tax-credits/public-school-tax-credit
