We would all love to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Students will be dismissed early on Tuesday, December 23rd. Watkins will dismiss at 12:45, Eden Valley Elementary at 1:00, and the High School at 1:15. School resumes on Monday, January 5th.

On December 12th students will be released early. Watkins will be released at 12:45 and Eden Valley Elementary at 1:00.

As a reminder, our staff would greatly appreciate advanced notice if there is a change for your child after school. The end of the school day becomes increasingly busy and the office has the task of interrupting classrooms to relay messages. As a common courtesy, please review the following guidelines to lesson the end of the day disruptions.

• Whenever possible have your child submit a handwritten note to the office in the event of a change in plans. This note is viewed by the teacher and office personnel.
• When emailing the classroom teacher of a change, please include the school secretaries Sheri Schumacher (sschumacher@evw.k12.mn.us) and Lori Unterberger (lunterberger@evw.k12.mn.us). In the event of the teacher's absence or one of the secretaries this would alleviate someone not catching the change.
• We understand that there will be last minute changes but please make an effort to have any changes to the office by 2:00.
• If you or someone else is picking up your child at the end of the day please use the Parent Pick Up Line.

The Winter Choir Concert will be held on Monday, December 8th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Peps Neuman Gym at the High School. The 5th and 6th Grade Choirs will be performing along with the JH and SH Choirs. The students need to be at the High School no later than 6:45 p.m.

The Winter Band Concert will be held on Monday, December 15th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Peps Neuman Gym at the High School. The 5th and 6th Grade Band will be performing along with the JH and SH Choirs. The students need to be at the High School no later than 6:45 p.m.

Each quarter we do a Citizenship Award. This award is to recognize students that show positive behaviors, behaviors that go above and beyond what is expected. Here are the first quarter winners:

Congratulations!

Eden Valley-Watkins High School National Honor Society is organizing its annual Christmas for Kids collection. With this program, gifts are given anonymously to families with children in our district who are facing hardship. If you would like to adopt a family or donate to the program please call Erin Kujawa at 320-453-2900 ext. 2138. Please turn donations in by December 9th.

• If you bring your child in regularly at 8:00 am on a late start day, you would bring them in at 10:00 am.
• Pre Kindergarten students will not have class in the am.
• Breakfast will be served.

Santa Days will be held Saturday, Dec. 6th from 9 a.m. to 11a.m. at the EVW High School.
