So much to celebrate at The Lake this holiday season!
Springton Lake was informed today that we will be redesignated as a Pennsylvania Schools to Watch for Excellence… for the third time for 2025-2028! We look forward to celebrating this achievement more formally in the spring, including recognition at school, at the PA state conference, and the national conference in Washington, D.C. This is quite an accomplishment, as fewer than 40 middle schools in Pennsylvania hold this outstanding distinction.
In addition, U.S. News & World Report recently ranked SLMS #27 out of 2,384 schools in Pennsylvania! This is an incredible achievement and a testament to the hard work of our students, staff, and community.
Our music department has been busy spreading holiday cheer through winter concerts at SLMS, performing at the Rose Tree Park Festival of Lights, and appearing at the King of Prussia Mall today.
And of course, we’re proud to highlight our Spartans of the Month, also featured in this newsletter.
Cheers,
Ryan Buterbaugh
Principal

Click on the FARE Information document to learn about upcoming opportunities to get involved and meeting information.
Please also refer to the school calendar for meeting dates and any rescheduling.
Cell Phones and Electronic Devices
To keep classrooms focused and learning uninterrupted, all wireless devices, including cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, and similar devices, must be OFF and AWAY during the school day unless a teacher gives a specific academic reason to use them. Students will be reminded each morning to power down their devices.
Please let your child know that you will not be texting or calling during school hours. If a student needs to reach a parent, a staff member can provide permission. In an emergency, the main office is the best way to get in touch. More details are available in the Springton Lake Student Handbook.
Thank you for helping us create a safe, distraction-free learning environment!
