Redwood MS - Viking Voice #5

All Viking Families are invited to attend our annual PTSA Fall Festival this Friday from 4pm-6pm. The Fall Festival is a family event, students must be accompanied by an adult.

• Bring CASH for food trucks, ASB game booths, jewelry, face painting and MORE.
• The FAMOUS Redwood teacher band will perform as well! You don't want to miss this fun once a year event!
  

Quarter 1 grading period ends Friday! The quarter 1 progress report is a check point for students and families. Please note that grades are NOT final until the end of semester 1 (December 19th). However, It is important to stay on top of assignments early. We highly encourage all students and families to check Q Connect often for grade updates. Email your teachers if you are concerned about any grades or assignments. Early communication and intervention is KEY.

• Students and families will be able to view the Q1P grade on Q Connect on Friday, September 26th.
  
• Reach out to your teacher if you have any questions regarding your grades.

GATE families are invited to join us this Thursday on Teams to learn about the Redwood GATE program. Our GATE coordinator Susan Salvoski will review opportunities for GATE students. An email will be sent to all families of GATE identified students with the link for this virtual information session. The presentation will be recorded if you cannot attend.

This is the LAST week to order new spirit wear! All items will be processed by Trend Graphics and shipped directly to Redwood MS. Once we received the items students will be able to collect their order from the main office. Items will all be individually bagged by the vendor.

Students create art based on their interpretation of: “I Belong”. Create art in any of these categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Writing, Music, Dance or Film. Write your artist's statement on how your art relates to the theme, and turn in! Students’ work will be judged and displayed at our gallery show. All Art Displays will be ANONYMOUS during school hours.

HOW PARTICIPATE IN REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST:

3. Fill-out Artist Statement - interpretation is more important than art skill)
4. Turn in Mounted Art & Entry Form on: 10.3 & 10.6 (email digital files and questions)
