April 4, 2025

Dear Holy Cross Community,

I hope your week was filled with blessings! We had a wonderful week of teaching and learning here at Holy Cross, and we also kicked off our Hornet Hustle—a spirited effort to raise $10,000 in support of our PTO and Library.

A heartfelt thank you to all who have already contributed. There's still time to get involved! Please sign up at https://mybooster.com/v3 and consider sharing this page with family and friends. The whole school will earn an ICE CREAM TRUCK party when we reach our goal!

We’re excited for our students to participate in the Glow Run this upcoming Tuesday as we celebrate the close of this fun and meaningful campaign.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to another joyful and enriching week together at Holy Cross.

Please see below for this week’s updates.

With prayers and gratitude,

Paola V. Clark, Ed.D.

Principal

Virtuous Formation Program/Education in Virtue Virtuous Formation Program/Education in Virtue

Holy Cross has adopted a School-Wide Positive Behavior Support System called the Be Holy Cross Virtuous Behavior Formation. Expectations are clearly defined under the “Be Holy Cross” framework. Students are expected to conduct themselves in keeping with the expectations set in this framework to be caring, responsible, obedient, and successful stewards. Individual, classroom, and school-wide expectations will be taught at the beginning of the school year and emphasized at various times. Students will be acknowledged for positive behaviors. This aligns with our annual theme: In a world where you can be anything...Be Holy Cross.

Education in Virtue is the Archdiocesan Catholic Social-Emotional Learning program, a key component of our Virtuous Formation Program. It provides a curriculum and resources developed by the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, based on St. Thomas Aquinas’ teachings on the virtues and gifts of the Holy Spirit. These resources provide a framework for helping people of all ages understand how to live more virtuously.

At Holy Cross, we highlight a virtue each month that is woven organically into lessons and our daily school life. These virtues are used in our announcements to guide our morning prayer, selection of the Saint of the Month, activities for our Faith Families, and classroom lessons. The virtue of March is Magnanimity.

The Saint of the month is St. Teresa of Calcutta.
