Zebra Nation,

I hope that you had an amazing summer! It's go time! The 2026-2027 school year is officially upon us. Looking forward to being with you for another dynamic year at Wayne Memorial HS! #WaynePride

Lots of very important information in this communication. Please make sure to check it all out.

9th Grade, Zebra's On The Rise Day:

WMHS will be hosting an orientation day for our incoming 9th Graders, Monday (tomorrow), August 24, from 12-2pm. We will start in the cafeteria and hope to see all of our incoming 9th Graders.

Open House:

WMHS will be hosting our 'Open House' this Thursday, August 27, from 5-6:30pm. We hope to see you all there!

From our Food Service Department:

  • Although meals will be served free of charge for all students we still have snacks and beverage available for purchase. Families can pre load student accounts with money on the Meal Magic Family Portal at : https://waynewestland.familyportal.cloud/
  • We have an online menu portal for all schools. This link is on all webpages where menus are normally attached. Please use this link: https://wwcsd.nutrislice.com/menu - menus will still be printed monthly to send home with students.

Please fill out the Electronic Benefits Form online at:
https://waynewestland.familyportal.cloud/benefits/onlyapplying - This information is collected for funding purposes and potential student benefits.

The Corewell School Based Health Clinic:

  • Located at Adams Middle School
  • A great resource available to children ages 3 to 21 that live or attend school in Wayne-Westland
  • Provides medical services including: sports physicals, well child exams, school and childhood vaccines, hearing and vision screenings, sick visits, as well as mental health counseling
  • Clinic accepts all insurances, but no one is ever turned away for the inability to pay
  • Have staff trained to assist families apply for Medicaid
  • A great option if your student needs back to school vaccines or sports physicals and can't get into their PCP office, have no insurance, or can't pay a copayment
  • Appointments are highly recommended. They are open 5 days a week and hours vary
  • Call 734-728-2423 to schedule an appointment or if you have any questions.

Let's have a great first week together.

See you soon!
