The context and duration of our collaboration

Our collaboration with Ali began last year, mainly in the form of negotiations on the topics of creating joint projects. Although we did not have the opportunity to communicate in person, in correspondence with Ali we were impressed by his professional approach. All project proposals were clearly structured, the topics and goals were explained, evidence was collected and ways of solving problems were described, which gave us a feeling of absolute confidence that Ali is a great professional in his field.

I met Ali in person in January 2025 during the advanced training courses. During this meeting, I noted for myself that Ali is a person with rich professional experience, has extensive knowledge in the field in which he works. Even though I have not known Ali for very long, I realize that his work in his country has had some results. Ali has been working in the field of education for children with special needs for many years, has studied this issue in detail and collaborates with many organizations in his country and in Europe to change the lives of these children for the better. I also understand that in his projects, Ali touches on the issue of active development, helping older people feel like full and equal participants in society, creating activities for them aimed at socialization in a rapidly changing modern world.

I met Ali Ulusoy two years ago. Prior to that, I had been following him through social media, where he regularly shares content about EU projects. I found myself learning something new from each of his posts. One day, I saw that he was in Samsun, and I seized the opportunity to meet him in person. We had a long and meaningful conversation at a small local tea house. During that meeting, I realized how valuable a guide he could be for a rural school like ours with the wealth of knowledge and experience he possesses in EU projects. I shared my thoughts and explained how meaningful it would be for my students—many of whom come from villages and disadvantaged backgrounds—to be involved in a European project. Mr. Ulusoy’s enthusiasm in response to my passion gave me even more hope.

Following our face-to-face meeting, I invited him to visit our school. He kindly accepted the invitation and delivered a remarkable seminar to the teachers and administrators of Dikbıyık Anatolian High School on EU projects and their contributions to life.

This year, we are collaborating on an Erasmus+ project together. Ali Ulusoy’s open-mindedness, insatiable curiosity for learning, and collaborative nature make him a driving force in empowering everyone he works with. His broad general knowledge and life experience in various domains make him an exceptional mentor—especially for young people.

Mr. Ulusoy’s experience in EU projects, his competencies in project management, coordination, and budgeting, his skills in building intercultural connections, his innovative mindset utilizing technology efficiently, and his meticulous and patient approach to work make him an invaluable partner for us.
