2025-2026 Student Devices

All Insight PA students will be receiving new laptops to replace their current devices owned by Stride/K12. This transition will give our school’s in-house IT Department direct control over device management, leading to better support, faster troubleshooting, and an improved learning experience for all students.

We are moving away from Stride/K12-managed devices to create a more efficient and student-focused technology environment. With these new devices managed by Insight PA, you can expect:

✅ Enhanced Educational Experience – Fewer tech issues and improved classroom interactions.

✅ Greater IT Control – Faster troubleshooting and tech support.

✅ Improved Student Safety – Stronger content filtering and device management.

Students participating in Summer School, Extended School Year (ESY), or High Dosage Tutoring (HDT) will begin new devices in June.

Deliveries to all other students will begin in August, in advance of the school year.

The Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 (14″ Intel) laptop is powerful, durable, and secure, to help you excel at your daily school work needs. The Lenovo ThinkPad E16 (16″ AMD) laptop is powerful, reliable, and secure perfect for your daily school work needs. Tackle all of your assignments and enjoy peak productivity with the power of AMD Ryzen™ 7000 Series processors and integrated UMA graphics.

All students will receive a voice-isolating USB-A headset with boom microphone. This comfortable and lightweight headset is perfect for school settings. The adjustable headband fits most.

ALL students will also receive a new Insight PA Cyber Charter School Backpack!

All new student laptops will have a program called AristotleK12 Parent preinstalled on them. This program helps to keep parents and guardians informed and empowered so they can support their student's digital safety and wellness.

STAY INFORMED

• View your child’s browsing history and search activity.
• Review the applications your child can access and gain insight into the data being collected

PROMOTE RESPONSIBLE SURFING

• See flagged activity related to bullying, self-harm, and more.
• View usage statistics to see how much time is spent on educational vs. non-educational websites.

ENCOURAGE HEALTHY HABITS

• Set screen time limits - pause internet access during meals, bedtime, or study hours.
• Customize website filtering after school hours.

More information about this program will be shared at the beginning of the 25-26 school year!

📦 Track Your Shipment – Updates will be provided so you know when to expect delivery.

✍️ Signature Required at Delivery – Someone must be home to sign for the package; the tracking information will provide a delivery window.

To ensure you receive all communications regarding the shipment of your student's device, as well as the shipment itself, your contact info must be up to date in our Student Information System. If any of your contact info has changed, please complete our Change of Address form or send your updated information to studentrecords@insightpaschool.org as soon as possible.

⚡ Power Up Before the First Day of School – Turn on your new laptop ahead of time and make sure it's ready to go before classes begin!

All student laptop packages will include a one-page sheet of directions on how to set up their new laptop, along with a QR code directing you to the new "Computer Set-Up" page on our website. You can also access this page by clicking the button link below!

New student usernames and passwords are being sent through ParentSquare. If you have received your student's new laptop, please check your email or ParentSquare for a message called "Student Account Info".

All Insight PA families will need to return their students' current laptops and chargers/cords directly to Stride/K12. You will receive more information about how to to this, as well as prepaid shipping labels, soon. Please keep an eye on your email for these communications - they will come from Stride/K12, not Insight PA.

Please note the following:

• When you receive your shipping labels from Stride/K12, please disregard anything that says you should keep your current student laptop - ALL Insight PA students need to return their current devices to Stride/K12.
  
  
• The only devices that need to be returned to Stride/K12 are the student laptops and chargers.
  
  
• Printers do not need to be returned.
  
  
• All Stride/K12-owned laptops will automatically lock after June 30th, which means that students will not be able to use them after this date.
