Well, Wildcats, it looks like Mother Nature finally decided to give us some much-needed rain! We certainly won’t complain about a few rainy days when our lawns, trees, and gardens are soaking it all in. We hope everyone is staying dry, safe, and cozy as we enjoy a little change in the weather!

Even with the rain, there is plenty happening at Creek Valley! Tomorrow is our first Club Day, and we are so excited to see our students get involved, try something new, and enjoy time with their classmates and teachers. We can’t wait to see our Wildcats having fun and building connections through their clubs!

We also want to send a HUGE thank-you to our families and community for coming out to support our Chick-fil-A Spirit Night! We loved seeing so many Creek Valley families there and appreciate your continued support of our students and campus. Your partnership truly makes a difference!

A quick reminder for families who may qualify for free or reduced-price meals: a new meal benefits application must be completed each school year. If your child qualified last year but you have not submitted a new application for this school year, they no longer have an active qualification.

If you believe your family may qualify, please make sure to complete the new application as soon as possible. This helps ensure your student receives the meal benefits for which they are eligible.

One important date to mark on your calendar: Friday, October 9, is a Student Holiday! There will be no school for students that day, so enjoy the long weekend, Wildcats!

And finally, have you checked out our PTA Spirit Wear Sale? It is a great time to show your Wildcat pride! Parents can place orders online using the information provided in the PTA section of this newsletter. We can't wait to see our Wildcats showing off their Creek Valley spirit!

Thank you, as always, for being such an important part of our Creek Valley family. We are looking forward to another great week filled with learning, connection, and—hopefully—a little more sunshine!

SIncerely,

Steffanie Webb

Clubs meet the first Friday of each month during the last period of the school day, beginning tomorrow. Students who do not select a club or turn in their permission slip before September 30th will be assigned to a study hall during our monthly club time.

Here’s how Club Day will work: Students will follow a pep rally schedule with shortened class periods throughout the day. After advisory, students will head to their clubs for the last hour of the school day. Clubs take place during the regular school day, so there is no additional after-school time required. At the end of the day, students will leave campus at 3:40 p.m. using their normal transportation routine—bus riders will ride the bus, car riders will be picked up as usual, and walkers will follow their regular dismissal procedures.

A quick reminder about Club Day: students who did not select a club or did not turn in their permission slip by the September 30 deadline will attend study hall during Club Day this month. These students will have another opportunity to select a club and will begin participating in their club next month. Thank you for helping us make sure our club days run smoothly!

Students will not be able to participate in clubs without a signed permission slip, per state law. If you've lost yours or need another, additional copies will be available outside the front office. or you can print it using the link below. Students who cannot participate in clubs will attend a study hall period.

How long have you been teaching: Going into my second year

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

Hi my name is Coach Mathias! I graduated from the University of North Texas and have spent the past four years coaching club volleyball in the DFW area.
