Seeing the Impact: Health Classes Take a Stand Against Drugs and Alcohol
Students in our Health classes recently participated in a hands-on activity designed to promote drug and alcohol prevention while encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Using impairment goggles, students experienced firsthand how substance use can affect coordination, vision, and decision-making.
While wearing the goggles, students were challenged to walk a straight line, navigate a driving course using a car on a stick, and even play a simple game of tic-tac-toe. What seemed like easy tasks quickly became difficult, helping students better understand the real-life dangers of being under the influence.
After removing the goggles, students reflected on their experiences and overwhelmingly agreed; they never want to feel that loss of control in real life. This powerful activity left a lasting impression and reinforced the importance of making safe, healthy choices every day.
Mrs. Green's Class Hatching Eggs
Mrs. Crawford's Published Authors and Science
Mrs. Crawford’s class became published authors! We are thankful for some donations from the public that allowed each student to receive a copy of their book this year.
Mrs. Crawford’s class pet hatched over night. This Luna Moth spent all winter hibernating in its cocoon. The students have been waiting patiently since Fall for this special occasion.
