ONLINE SKY RANCH WAIVER
We are still missing about 20 of the waiver forms. If you haven't yet completed the Sky Ranch Online Waiver for your child, please do it at this time. Every child or adult going to Sky Ranch must have this on file with Sky Ranch. It is super quick and required by Sky Ranch. This is also where you will put any food allergies or dietary requests.
PAYMENT
Payment Due Today. Here are the directions.
If you have any trouble, back out and try again. There have been a couple incidents of glitches.
PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS
These are due to the nurse by Oct 22.
WHAT TO PACK
Click here for a list of items for camp.
Don't forget a towel, a water bottle and bedding. A drawstring sport bag or small backpack will be needed. No wheels on the backpack. Also a trash bag for bedding on the way home is needed unless it is in a duffle bag or suitcase.
Please use your judgment and remember the list above is a guideline. Check weather for Van, Texas.
If rain is not expected they do not need a rain poncho or if your child has never had to use Chapstick, they don't need to bring it. Bug spray has been removed from this list because it is provided by the school. Do not send bug spray.
CABIN ASSIGNMENTS
At the end of the day on Tuesday, October 27, students will pack up a little early. They will be finding out who their cabin mates are. We will take them outside and each will be given a little Ziploc bag with 2 colored luggage tags and 2 zip ties.
When the students get their Ziploc bag, they will see that the tags have their name and their number such as:
Elizabeth
3.2
The number designates their cabin and section/chaperone. Students will then find their matches and finally know who is in their cabin! They are going to be so excited. All students are guaranteed at least one student from their list in their cabin.
BAG TAGS FROM REEVES
The little Ziploc bags mentioned above (in cabin assignment) will be going home with each student on Tuesday. These 2 tags are specific to them. PLEASE PLACE ONE TAG ON EACH OF THEIR TWO BAGS and secure it with the provided zip tie or whatever would work better.
If there is another tag on their bag, that is fine but please still put these bag tags on in addition. If youR child loses their bag tag between Reeves and home, we can make them a new one Wednesday morning. If your child is absent on Tuesday, their teacher will have their bag tags and cabin assignment Wednesday morning.
LUGGAGE
Students are allowed 2 bags only which will be loaded on one of the buses.
- one suitcase or duffle bag for clothing
- one large trash bag or duffle bag for carrying their sleeping bag, pillow and other linens to camp.
Students must also bring ONE SMALL backpack or draw string bag for the bus and for walking around camp- but NO snacks, food, gum, or electronic devices can be brought on the trip.
Please see above for labeling the bags
ARRIVAL AT REEVES WED, OCT 28
Students should arrive between 7:25 and 7:50 with their suitcase or duffle bag and their bedding. These things should already be tagged with the luggage tags mentioned above. You may drop students off on the South side by the gym. You may also walk them in with their things but please know they will be moving this luggage on their own the rest of the time.
Students should go to the gym when they arrive and check in with a teacher or chaperone for their cabin who will be there to greet them. They will then sit with their cabin group in the gym. Chaperones will be making sure their bags are labeled.
After the bell rings we ask that you say Happy Trails to your camper for now.
Chaperones: Our meeting is Monday, October 19 at 6pm Room 416
