Meet Our NEW Teen Librarian
Introducing Rachel!
Please help us welcome Rachel, our new Teen Librarian! Rachel grew up in Coatesville, Indiana, and attended Ball State University. Her love of helping others and sharing the power of reading and knowledge led her to pursue a career in libraries. She's currently working toward her Master’s degree and brings great enthusiasm to connecting with teens through engaging programs and books.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys thrifting and antiquing—her home is a treasure trove! She's also an animal lover with cats and a snake as pets. Rachel collects vinyl records. A fun fact about Rachel, she’s ambidextrous! Her favorite book is Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. If she could meet any historical figure, she would choose literary and musical icons like Bradbury, John Lennon, or Emily Dickinson. If she could have any superpower, it would be the ability to fly. Rachel's favorite vacation destination is Chicago, and her top picks for movie and TV show are Phantom of the Opera (2004) and Parks & Recreation. When asked her favorite place in Danville, she enthusiastically answered: the library!
We’re thrilled to have Rachel on our team and can’t wait for you to meet her.

June Kid Librarian
June Kid Librarian of the Month: Caleb C.
Meet Caleb C., our awesome June Kid Librarian! Caleb says he wanted to be Kid Librarian because the library is such a fun place to be—and the librarians here are awesome! One of his favorite things about the library is all the fun activities planned each month, and he’s always excited to see what’s coming up next.
Caleb is a big fan of fiction and loves the worlds of Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Goosebumps, and I Survived. He also enjoys the fun facts in National Geographic Weird but True, the action-packed Who Would Win? series, and the hilarious adventures in Bad Guys and Dog Man. His favorite book character is Roz from The Wild Robot.
Outside of reading, Caleb enjoys video games, playing basketball, spending time outdoors, and loves dogs and all animals!
Caleb is especially inspired by Mrs. Frankie, our amazing Children's Librarian. He says she’s encouraging and kind. We’re so proud to have Caleb as our June Kid Librarian. Keep reading, exploring, and sharing your love of books with others, Caleb!
