Librarians and library managers found engaging, creative ways to celebrate Poetry Month, Earth Day, and School Library Month in April. At ATA, library manager Shelby Clancy offered games, makerspace activities, and puzzles for students to enjoy during breaks and lunch. At Howard, teacher librarian Debbie Pfeiffer had students create haiku poetry together as a class. Charlotte Merritt, library manager at Cal Young Middle School, created a poetry tree that showcased student poetry throughout the month. Gilham honored Earth Day with a cool window display with ideas of how to participate. Thank you to all 4J librarians and library managers for inspiring students to create, innovate, read, and explore.
