St. Mark Weekly Update - 8 April 2026 St. Mark Weekly Update - 8 April 2026

Welcome Back!

Despite the recent snowfall, we hope our St. Mark family had a wonderful spring break.

We are now on the last part of the 2025-2026 school year, meaning that curriculum will be quickly finishing and students will be preparing for final exams. Regular attendance is more important than ever. Our public calendar will be updated with information as dates are confirmed, so please check back often for the latest news.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Stabile and Mr. Berube for taking the leadership roles in the month of March in my absence. Thank you to the staff and to the families that stepped up to support them - it is no easy feat to be put in a 'new' position with little warning. It is a team effort which ensures student learning continues ... and that was very much was the case. Thank you all for your support in all that you do for our St. Mark Family! - J. Hertlein, Principal

Human Learning in the Age of Smart Machines

St. Mark School Council has recently purchased an informational book for our families to borrow from the school.

The A.I. Roadmap, by Dr. John Spencer, is a book to help guide families through the the infusion of A.I. technology in the world around us. It will answer questions such as:

  • What is A.I. and how is it transforming learning?
  • How should we respond to A.I.?
  • How do we help students navigate a world of A. I.?
  • How do we retain the human voice when incorporating A.I. tools?

If you would like to borrow this book, please send us a note and we will sign out the book to you via your child.
