Beckwith Bulletin

June 26, 2026
BMS Community,
Well, that’s a wrap on another outstanding school year at Beckwith!
On Tuesday, we welcomed the Palmer River fourth graders for our annual Step-Up Day. This was their first opportunity to learn more about Beckwith Middle School. The administration provided a presentation, answered questions, and a group of current fifth-grade students served as tour guides, helping our future students become familiar with the building and school community.
On Wednesday, we followed up with a Parent Information Night for families of incoming students. This provided parents with their first opportunity to learn more about Beckwith and have their questions answered. We will hold our New Student Orientation on August 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the gym. This will be another opportunity for students and parents to learn more about the school and get their questions answered together.
Also on Wednesday, we held our annual 8th Grade Celebration Day. Students enjoyed a breakfast where they had the opportunity to reconnect with some of their former Palmer River teachers, participated in an 8th-grade walk around campus, signed yearbooks, enjoyed lunch and ice cream, and watched a slideshow highlighting their years at Beckwith. A special thank you to the volunteers who helped make this day so memorable for our students.
On Thursday, we held our annual Promotion Ceremony as our 8th graders officially promoted to high school. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished during their time at Beckwith and wish them the very best as they begin the next chapter of their educational journey.
The week concluded with field days, grade-level slideshows, and many opportunities to celebrate another successful year. It was a fun and fitting way to culminate a great year at Beckwith. We look forward to seeing many of you again next year!
