Happy Monday Hornets!

Welcome back! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving break filled with food, family, football, and anything else your heart desired. I spent the Thanksgiving with my oldest daughter's family. I always enjoy spending time with family during the holidays.

We start our new Academic Focus Schedule this week. The schedule for Mondays has changed (see below) so that we can have a weekly Academic Focus Schedule. We hope that this will help students to make up work/tests and get help from teachers in a more timely manner.

This week we get back into the swing of full days and start the winter sports competition season. If you look above at the What's Happening section you will see that boys and girls basketball, boys and girls wrestling, boys swimming all have events this week. Girls flag football will be starting up soon as well. I hope you get out to see our student athletes in action.

Speaking of action, it's about time for Allison Abrahamse to yell ACTION to kick off the premier of White Christmas. Now I know theater directors don't normally yell ACTION! But I was looking for a transition to this paragraph. You will have multiple opportunities to see White Christmas, but don't sleep on getting tickets. They are going fast! There are also two winter choir concerts this week paired with the production of the play. I know Mr. Scott and the choir have been working really hard to make this concert extra special. I hope you check it out Wednesday or Thursday @ 7 PM in the EHS Auditorium.

The forecast is looking a little colder. Make sure to check out the Winter Weather Communications information below. Hopefully we will make it through the winter with no school closures, but keep this information handy just in case.

That’s all for now. Let’s make it a great week.

Rod Merrell

Enumclaw High School’s Academic Focus time is designed to provide students with dedicated time and support to strengthen their academic success. Academic Focus days will be every Monday and designated days through out the year. The schedule includes a 30-minute focus period where students can connect with teachers for additional help, make up missed tests or projects, catch up on assignments, or spend extra time studying. The goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to stay on track, reinforce learning, and take responsibility for their progress in a supportive environment.

This year, the EHS Drama Department celebrates 100 years of Enumclaw Drama with LOTS of classic theatre, kicking off our season with a fan favorite!

Our winter musical, White Christmas ,opens December 5th and runs 2 weekends through December 13th, and we would LOVE to celebrate the season with all of you! We have 8 traditional performances AND we have teamed up with EHS Choirs for an additional 2 performances not available for purchase on our ticketing website. Stay on the lookout for information from EHS Choirs with details on that special event!

Over 60 students are participating as either cast or crew, and have been working SO hard to put this production together. Get your tickets while they last, because I have a feeling they are going to sell out fast!
