Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

For safety purposes, students are not allowed on campus before 8:55 a.m. unless they are involved in a supervised school activity. Students are not allowed to play on the playground equipment before or after school, unless a parent/guardian is actively monitoring them.

• Monday - Thursday: 8:55 - 9:10
• Friday Late Start: 9:45 - 9:55

Note: Students cannot exit cars or enter the building prior to 8:55am (9:45 on Fridays) , and must enter through the main doors.

1. Enter through the EAST driveway
2. 8:55am/9:45am - Staff will be outside to begin letting students out of cars
3. Stay in line and follow staff instructions
4. Pull all the way up and wait for your child to exit, then watch for a staff member to give the "All Clear"
5. Pull forward and make a Right Turn onto Ponderosa Drive

8:40 AM - 9:20 AM the west entrance and staff parking lot (Ponderosa) will be closed to all car traffic. Only buses will be allowed to enter that driveway (see orange and green wording on map).

South Campus Attendance Line 303-387-8327

• PreK - 3rd parents need to accompany their student in the building and check them in.

North Campus Attendance Line 303-387-8277

• Students can be dropped off on either the EAST or WEST side where our main entrance is. Students are allowed to walk in without a parent or guardian

• Buses will run 90 minutes later than your students normal pick up time. (EX pick up 8:30am delayed will be 10:00am)

• BASE also runs on a 90 minute delay

• 10:25 - Students will be released from buses and cars

• AM Preschool and AM Kindergarten are closed on these days.

This usually occurs due to weather related conditions and is announced via news stations, DCSD Communications via phone, email and text alerts.

Important Note: If you do not make changes as needed it may result in an unexpected to trip to the school to pick up your student at the end of the day.

• We need every parent/guardian to download the App!
• Changes must be make before 3:30pm
• Make sure your Car Tag is visible when picking up students.
• Below are step by step process of setting up PMK for your students.

• From 3:40 PM - 4:20 PM the west entrance and staff parking lot (Ponderosa) will be closed to all car traffic. Only buses will be allowed to enter that driveway.

• All car traffic must enter and exit the east entrance (Ponderosa) and proceed to the appropriate area. See map above.

• All car traffic is encouraged to enter from the east on Ponderosa and turn right into the parent parking area and pick up/drop off lane.

• All car traffic must turn right when exiting Pine Lane Elementary east entrance.

• All cars will pull up to their assigned station to load or unload.

• All cars will wait at their assigned station until the entire loading/unloading group is released by Station 1 Monitor.

• The next group will enter their stations and the process will be repeated.

If you are picking up students prior to the end of the day (4:00)pm, you must come into the school to check out your students. Please ensure you have a photo ID when picking up your students.

When picking up students early, if possible please try to arrive by 3:30pm

• Parent parking is located at both the North and South Campuses (see blue wording on map above).

• North Parent Parking enter through entrance off of Pine Lane

• South Parent Parking enter through east entrance off of Ponderosa

• Staff parking is located between the North and South campuses, on the east side of the parent pick up loop, and in the parking lot off of Pine Lane (see green wording on map above).

• All parents must park in parent designated areas (see blue wording on map above)

We have had a recurring problem with our Reserved Parking spots. Twice this year already the parking spots have been taken by others. This includes our Handicap, Silent Auction winners, and PLEA Volunteer parking spots.

You must have official signage to use our handicap parking spots. These spots must remain reserved for those with legitimate mobility constraints.
