Shamong Township School District
Monthly Newsletter - March 2025
March Spotlight!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It’s hard to believe how quickly this school year is flying by! As we release our sixth newsletter of the year, I find myself reflecting on how much we’ve accomplished together and how grateful I am for your continued support. From launching programs that nurture students’ well-being to celebrating their incredible talents through the arts and academic achievements, this year has been a testament to the power of our community.
With that in mind, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to email me directly. What topics or highlights would you like to see featured in future editions of our newsletter? Additionally, I’d be delighted to know which information, resource, or updates you’ve particularly enjoyed so far. Your feedback is invaluable and will help us ensure the newsletter remains an engaging and meaningful resource for everyone.
Thank you for being an essential part of our journey —I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Cannon

District Updates
Curriculum & Instruction
How does the district support the diverse needs of all its students?
We are pleased to share that our midyear STAR Testing has been successfully completed. As part of our ongoing efforts to monitor and support your child's academic growth, STAR Testing is administered three times a year: at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year. These assessments help us track student progress in the key areas of Reading and Math.
Based on the results of the midyear testing, our students are on track for continued growth and proficiency in both Reading and Math. These results reflect the hard work and dedication of both our students and teachers, and we are confident that this progress will continue as we move through the remainder of the year.
