We welcome all of our scholars and families to the 2023 - 2024 school year here at Jacksonville Elementary!

Front Playground Carloop is for Grades K-2 and sibling group drop off

• Parents cannot enter the building from this area

Back parking loop drop off is for Grades 3-5 (Cars)

• Parents cannot drop scholars off in the back parking lot, you must go through the car rider line

• Parents cannot enter the building from this area (Grades 1-5)

All walkers must enter at the walker gate beside the front playground gates (There is a cross guard there to assist them).

Walkers are not allowed to cross the street - even if their parent is there.

• Parents must park where the crossing guard is visible.
• They must walk to the access location by Bucks Jr. or the access location at Madden and Linda.

Scholars cannot be dropped off at the main entrance of the building unless accompanied by a parent or guardian

• These scholars must be checked in by an adult

If your scholar is not registered, you must come to the front office

• Scholars will only be admitted with all documents.

• If you are a kindergarten parent walking your scholar into the building, please park in the back parking lot ( this is to assist with avoiding traffic flow slow down in the front of the school and limited parking)

• 1st - 5th grade parents will NOT be allowed to walk their scholars to class due to traffic, parking, and middle school arrival

• Parents MUST be out of the building by 7:45 a.m.

• Please keep in mind that traffic will be congested. Allow yourself extra time.
• The first week is always the toughest as parents navigate car rider lines and scholars learn unloading and loading procedures.
• While we want car rider lines, bus/van drop off and walkers to move quickly, we will not sacrifice safety and security for speed, so please be patient when dropping off/picking up your scholar this week.
• Please be sure you have spoken to your scholar’s teacher and informed how your scholar will be getting home

• Please make sure your scholar knows their first and last name for cafeteria lunch line
• Practice with your scholar on how to open their lunch items so they have plenty of time to eat.
• The only utensils scholars should bring in their lunch box is a spoon or fork.
• There is not a microwave for scholars to warm up their food.
• Please label your scholar's jackets, lunch boxes and backpacks.
• If your scholar does not return with their jacket, lunchbox, or backpacks please let your scholar’s teacher know so they can check the lost and found.
• Please keep your contact information up to date.
• Any transportation changes need to be communicated to the front office.
• Please make sure you have access to class dojo and HAC to communicate with your scholars teacher and check grades.
