Keeping a Pulse on Student Life at WMHS! 5/1/2026
Welcome to Our Heartbeat Newsletter!
If you're new here—welcome! Every Friday, we send out our Heartbeat of the Wildcat newsletter to keep you informed and connected. Each edition includes highlights of what’s been happening around the school during the week, as well as important updates and upcoming events.
Stay tuned and thank you for being part of our Wildcat community!
Around the Halls
Students are exploring fluid friction by designing and testing their very own paper helicopters. Through creativity and experimentation, they’re discovering how air resistance impacts motion and flight.
LEAD Training came out today to start a 4 part series of Health Care Pathways where we give students a deep dive into the different careers that exist in Allied Health field.
These same students also received specialized training from our local fire department and became CPR and Bleeding Control certified. We appreciate these partnerships and building experiences for our students!
NHS Game Night was a success and so much fun!
Thank you to all the families who came out a couple weeks ago to join us—we loved seeing everyone laughing, playing games, and spending time together. Your support made the night such a great event!
Last week the Content Creators group celebrated the end of their work together with a trip to RJs Cinema for a celebration ceremony, followed by a visit to the FOX19 studio.
Thanks to our community partners for helping with the mock crash today. We hope everyone has a fun and safe Prom weekend!
CCP biology students are studying the regeneration properties of flatworms. They cut them in half and are watching both parts regrow.
THANK YOU
The WHS After Prom Committee would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the WHS administration, our amazing Wildcat community, and surrounding businesses for their incredible support of After Prom on April 25, 2026!
Because of you, the event was a huge success with over 130 students attending and making lasting memories in a safe, fun environment.

The Community
The Village of Williamsburg asked that we share this message pertaining to road closures next week:
Starting Monday, May 4, Main Street will be closed going east-bound in front of the new elementary school/library. This will impact some parents who pick up and/or drop off students. The west-bound lane of Main Street will remain open. The closure dates and times are May 4, May 5, and May 6 from 8:00am to 4:00pm. See the attached map.
Williamsburg Elementary Earns Purple Star Designation for Supporting Military Families💜
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce recognized our school for its commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families. This honor reflects the dedication of our staff and community to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all.
