Weekly Warrior

If your student is participating in Spring sports, there is a mandatory parent/student athletic meeting on Wednesday March 4, 2026 at 6pm. Please make plans to attend. We look forward to a great season!

We’re excited to welcome all Erwin District families to our first Community Night of the year! These evenings are always free and open to everyone, with a catered meal and teachers available for homework support.

This month’s event will feature:

• Information from Erwin High School
• Resources from UNETE
• Lots of prizes for families

If your student needs support, staff members at CAEMS and community partners can help. See the Student Support Resources for details and contact information.

You can sign up for your parent portal using your student’s UID number (your student may know it as their “lunch number”) from this link on the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction website. Choose “Buncombe County Schools” from the drop down menu and follow the instructions to set up your portal. After you’ve created your account, it may take a few days for your student’s schedule to populate, as schools finalize classes in the week ahead.

Breakfast and lunch are provided FREE OF CHARGE to all students, even to those who bring lunch from home. Visit the BCS School Menus page for this week's delicious options.

Have you visited Blue Ridge Health yet? This clinic, located just behind the school, serves students, siblings, parents, EMS employees and their immediate families.

• You must have a completed and signed registration form with the health center to be treated.

• If you’re not filing with insurance, payment can be made based on a sliding scale.

• Healthcare provided

• Yearly physicals, sports physicals, management of chronic conditions, and medication management

• Urgent care services such as testing for flu, Covid, and strep, and evaluation of sprains/strains, falls, and minor injuries

• Free nursing assessments including basic first aid and OTC medications

• Behavioral health services and nutrition services are also available
