Weekly Update
December 12, 2025
From the Principal
Dear Families,
Happy Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! We had two important feast days this week, both honoring our Blessed Mother, Mary. The third week of Advent is when we change color to pink and celebrate Joy. It is through Jesus that we find true Joy. As we begin our final preparations towards Christmas, let us remember to find joy in this season and the gift of baby Jesus.
Thank you to all who participated in our Gingerbread event and supported our Book Fair. Both were a great success. Thank you to Mrs. Carlson, Mrs. Wenzel and Mrs. McIntyre for all of your hard work.
Next week we have some special things planned, including our class Christmas parties. We have an early dismissal on Friday at 10:55 AM. Please be sure that you have arrangements to pick your child up early. There is no extended care available on Friday.
Our next Adesse drawing is next Friday for a $100 gift card. We have more tickets in the office if needed. If you are NOT able to sell all of your allotment, please return the unused tickets so we can hand them out to someone else. This helps us keep costs down from printing more for families that sell more. You may also direct people to purchase them online if you prefer.
We still have openings in every grade level in the event you know someone that is looking for a change. Please have them go to our website to schedule a visit or contact Mr. Peyton Glawe at peyton.glawe@aquinschools.org or 815-235-3154.
Have a Great Weekend!
Mrs. Heitkamp

Food Drive Week 7
“Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7
Are you ready to make a final, powerful impact this Christmas Season? As we begin Week 7 — the last week — of our Meals in a Bag food drive for FACC, we’re hoping you will help us make a child’s Christmas break a little easier.
This week we’re focusing on three bag types:
Breakfast in a Bag, Lunch in a Bag, and Snacks in a Bag.
Many students count on school meals; during the two-week break they still need our support. If you can give, please do. If you can’t, please SHARE this post and our flyers to help us reach more people.
Let’s make this our BIGGEST week yet!
Thank you for your continued kindness and generosity — it truly makes a difference.
Adesse Raffle Fundraiser
Every month during the year, we pick winners for various prize amounts. Each ticket is $25, or you can buy 5 tickets for $100. These make great Christmas gifts!
Tickets can be purchased through a family (paper ticket) or online. Make sure your friends and family mark your name so you get the credit!
Please contact peyton.glawe@aquinschools.org if you have any questions.
