Start Winter with Inside Broadway!

Our Page to Stage residency programs are sparking the imaginations of our city's students and creating lifelong readers and theatre lovers at the same time. The Department of Education's NYC Reads initiative is putting the focus on the importance of reading and the value of literary comprehension. Our specially-designed program brings the students directly into the story through music and dance. These theatrical elements are sure to appeal to all learning styles and will help your students develop important reading skills.

The creative team is hired, auditions will soon be happening and rehearsals will get underway for Irving Berlin’s LAND THAT I LOVE. This 45-minute musical, specially created for young people, not only educates, but also entertains. LAND THAT I LOVE includes classic songs by one of Broadway’s greatest composers, Irving Berlin. This timeless music is used to tell the story of three young immigrants as they experience coming to New York for the first time to start a new life.

It’s showtime! Our hands-on residency gives your students the tools needed to present their own musical revue. Starting with an intro to the basics of musical theatre, this fun workshop builds confidence and utilizes teamwork while bolstering language acquisition. The program can be built around existing texts or a school-wide theme.
