Vision: At Hines Elementary, we are committed to cultivating a vibrant and dynamic learning environment that ignites curiosity, fosters creativity, and celebrates student achievements. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for critical thinking that are essential for academic success and positive character growth. Through collaboration with families and the wider community, we strive to empower our students to reach their full potential and become responsible, compassionate, and engaged citizens.
A Note from Mrs. Mathe
This week, our 4th grade students took a field trip to Geronimo! While there, they worked on teamwork, challenged themselves to step outside of their comfort zones, and strengthened their bonds with one another through a variety of activities and experiences. A huge thank you to our PTO for supporting our field trips and helping make these meaningful memories possible for our students. We are so grateful for your generosity and support!
Today, we celebrated our Huskies who were recognized with the HERO Award for Trustworthiness and for simply being incredible Husky HEROES! 🎉 Congratulations to all of you, and thank you for making Hines such a special place to be!
Next week, a few of our classes will say goodbye to their Grand Oaks High School student teachers. Through our partnership with GOHS, we’ve had the honor of hosting seniors who are aspiring educators, giving them a chance to gain real classroom experience. Over the course of the school year, our Huskies have grown to love their “second” teachers, and the feeling has been mutual.
To our GOHS seniors: thank you for pouring your hearts into our classrooms. We wish you all the best as you graduate and take your next steps toward becoming the amazing educators you’re destined to be!

Student Spotlight
Student Spotlight is a dedicated section in The Hines Herald that celebrates the amazing achievements, acts of kindness, talents, and positive contributions of our Huskies both inside and outside of school.
This space recognizes students who are reaching personal goals, excelling in academics, athletics, or the arts, serving others, or making a meaningful difference in our community. Our students are accomplishing incredible things, and Student Spotlight is one way we proudly share and celebrate those moments.
We encourage families to submit their child’s accomplishments so we can continue highlighting and honoring the many ways our Huskies shine. We look forward to featuring more of these inspiring stories!
