JOIN TODAY!
Dear IPSD 204 Community,
As our students and staff settle into the school year, I want to take a moment to highlight an important part of our district’s success—our parent organizations. These groups, including PTAs/PTSAs at every school and, at the high school level, our Athletic Boosters, Music and Theatre Boosters, and groups like PAGES, PATHS, and PACES, provide vital support that strengthens our school communities.
From organizing classroom celebrations and family events to creating school directories and supporting Teacher Appreciation activities, our parent organizations add so much to the student experience. In many cases, they also contribute resources that expand opportunities for both students and staff.
Much of this work is made possible through membership dues, donations, and, most importantly, volunteer time. If you have already joined one of your school’s organizations, thank you. If you have not yet, I encourage you to take a moment to explore the links at the bottom of this message and get involved.
There are many ways to participate—whether by volunteering at events, contributing behind the scenes, or attending meetings (in-person or virtual) to learn more about the impact these groups have. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
Our IPSD 204 Strategic Plan emphasizes the importance of family and community partnerships, and our parent organizations are a shining example of that in action. Your involvement is seen and appreciated by your child, by school staff, and by me. Thank you for all you do to help make our schools thrive.
Sincerely,
Adrian B. Talley, Ed.D.
