September 1 2026 Community Update

As we close the first day of school, I want to provide an update on the district-wide phone and network outage shared earlier today. We have confirmed that a networking hardware failure caused the disruption across all district schools and offices.

Despite these technology challenges, it was a positive first day across our schools as we welcomed students back and began settling into the year ahead. Thank you to our staff for adapting instruction and keeping the focus on students, and to our families for their patience and support. Student safety remained our highest priority, and on-site emergency safety systems and protocols remained fully operational.

Our technology team and external hardware specialists have been on-site working to restore service. The following systems remain unavailable at this time:

• Internet and Wi-Fi, including access to online instructional tools.

• District and school phone lines for incoming and outgoing calls.

• Student information system, including parent portals, online attendance recording, and gradebook access.

While phone service remains unavailable, please email your building principal for school-related questions. Principals will have limited internet access during the day to check for messages; however, please do not rely on email for an immediate emergency. School main offices will be available for emergent in-person assistance during regular school hours.
