I'm thrilled about today's "Meet the Teacher" night where we'll have the chance to connect and share important information. I kindly ask you to take a moment to go through the "Resources You Can Use" section. In there, you'll find the finalized procedures for both arrival and dismissal. These procedures are crucial for ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our school routines. Your cooperation in reviewing these details will greatly contribute to a successful start of the school year.

As I stated in my previous newsletter, transitioning from summer break to the school routine can be a little challenging for our children. To ensure a smooth start, I would like to kindly remind you about the importance of getting them back into their regular routines, especially when it comes to bedtime. Encouraging early bedtimes will help them adjust to waking up on time and feeling refreshed for the school day ahead.

Please, review the attached arrival and dismissal plan. After receiving some feedback, we finalized the logistics. To access the procedures, click the picture or the document link below the image.

Please, pay close attention to the tips for arrival, as they will ease the process. Also notice that there is a dismissal procedure for walkers in the afternoon.

Please use the feedback forms if you have questions or want to share anything regarding this plan.

Last, we expect delays during the first two-three days of school during arrival and dismissal as the students and families get used to the procedures. Please receive my most sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are glad to introduce our team. Please take some time learning about our new and returning teachers. Click the picture below to access the document.

We use the Class Dojo App to communicate with you regularly. We use the app to send reminders about school events and publish all district flyers as they become available. Once your child's teacher share the code with you during meet the teacher night, please join.

Please, take some time labeling all items that your child will bring to school. We suggest labeling sweaters, jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other loose items that can be misplaced. We have a lost and found, but many things were not claimed by the end of the year. If the item is labeled, we can ensure it will return home promptly.

We want to share new information from Dallas ISD for the upcoming school year. Clear backpacks will be required for all grade levels. Dallas ISD will provide all students with a clear backpack.

We plan to distribute clear backpacks to families during Meet the Teacher night on August 10th.
