LAKEVIEW PTA
Thank you to all who have shown interest in serving and supporting our PTA!
We’re excited to continue strengthening the partnership between our community and Lakeview Middle School. Because our previous meeting did not meet quorum, we will be holding elections for the 2025–2026 PTA officers on Wednesday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. at LVMS. We need at least 10 paid PTA members in attendance to make this election official, your participation makes a difference!
Please RSVP using the form below so we can prepare your name badge and ensure we have enough members present. Together, we can continue building a strong and connected Lakeview community!

PSAT 8/9
Starting in 8th grade, students in LISD take part in assessments that provide helpful feedback on the skills that matter most for future college and career readiness. Taking the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) during middle and high school helps students see their progress and set goals for the future.
For 8th grade students:
Every student will take the PSAT 8/9.
This test gives a starting point to highlight strengths and areas where extra practice may be helpful.
The score report will include benchmarks as well as tools to help students explore career paths and personal interests.
To view your student’s PSAT scores, you will need to create a College Board account (steps are listed below). If you choose not to create an account, your student will still take the test, but you will not be able to view their score report.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Dr. Love at Lovee@lisd.net.
Thank you for partnering with us to support your student’s success!

LVMS TENNIS
Earlier this week, our middle school tennis team (comprised of both Lakeview and Griffin students) traveled to play Lewisville in a dual. All but one of our players are brand new to the sport, so this was their first experience competing against another school. Being the smallest school in our district, our twelve kids were pitted in round robin play against fifty players as there is no distinction between 7th and 8th grade levels in tennis.
However, our students did extremely well, finishing the day winning 8 of 16 doubles matches. Several of our players even went undefeated in their doubles matches. Rachel Smithey (Lakeview) and Sammy Callaway (Griffin) won all 3 of theirs, while Emiliano Quezada (Griffin) and Killian McWilliams (Griffin) won both of their matches too. Six other players were also able to secure their first wins!
There are two remaining matches this fall. We will scrimmage against Flower Mound and Marcus on October 27. The following week, we will participate in our district tournament on November 3!
Spirit Days
Fan Behavior
Lewisville ISD has high expectations of our student athletes, but we also have high expectations of our fans. Please view the below fan behavior guidelines before attending any LISD athletic event:
- No outside food or drink. Water is permitted, but must be in its original container. No insulated tumblers, fast food cups, personal water bottles, etc.
- No backpacks
- Applaud and cheer for your team
- Support coaches, players and officials:
- No profanity of any kind is allowed
- No individual taunting of players
- No throwing of objects
- No taunting of officials
- Never approach an official at any point
- If fans cannot adhere to the above guidelines, the following will result:
- Individuals will be asked to leave
- Individuals may be escorted out by appropriate school designee or law enforcement
- Individuals may be suspended from attending future athletic events
Additionally, our campus can be disciplined by the UIL for fan infractions, so please help to maintain a respectful environment for our families and community.
Food Deliveries
Food Deliveries must be secured and labeled with the student’s name and grade level. Students will not be called out of class for deliveries, and the campus will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced deliveries. Student pick-up of delivered items can only happen before/after school and during passing periods.
- Food deliveries from a restaurant or delivery service for students are not permitted under any circumstances. They will be turned away.
- Lunch deliveries may only be made by a student’s parent/guardian. Lunch deliveries should be made prior to the start of the lunch periods so that students can retrieve food during the passing period. Lunch deliveries will not be accepted during STAAR, TELPAS, EOC, AP, or other testing days.
- Afternoon/Athletic/Fine Arts Dinner Deliveries may only be made by a student’s parent/guardian. They should be made between 3:30-4:00. Each program will have a wagon/table to leave your student's delivery. Items will be brought into the building at 4:00, prior to dismissal. All deliveries are subject to search.
SPECIAL NOTE- No student is denied Lunch at LVMS. Students without their ID (or a temporary ID) at lunch can still eat. They may wait to get into the lunch line after students with their IDs.
Please email your student at their @go.lisd.net account to notify
them of items that have been dropped off
Visiting Campus
Per LISD guidance, campuses may not permit anyone to enter the building if they cannot present a physical copy of a valid government-issued ID, such as a Driver’s License or Passport. Any other picture ID will not be accepted for the purposes of visiting campus. IDs that cannot be accepted include, but are not limited to:
Credit cards with photos ID
Membership club cards
- Digital or otherwise copied images of a Driver’s License or Passport
Parent Notes
For this coming school year, there will be 5 absences allowed with a parent note for any reason. For pre-planned trips or outside school activity absences, parents will have 5 additional absences and will need to complete a pre-planned absence form. As an important reminder, absences with a doctor’s note, received within three days, are excused and do not count towards the parent note or pre-planned absence count. For more information and to access the pre-planned absence form, visit our WEBSITE.
