Welcome to a special Teacher Appreciation Week edition of the Bobcat Blast. The teachers and staff at school make us feel tickled PINK and GREEN with gratitude. Now It’s time to defy gravity and show the Cougar Ridge team just how wonderful they truly are!
From May 5–9, 2025, Cougar Ridge will be transformed into a land where appreciation soars on broomsticks and love for our staff casts a magical spell. With your help, we’ll make this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week one to remember!
There are two important parts to the week: Student Participation Days and PTSA Sponsored Meals, Treats, and Gifts. The magic won't work without your help, so please read the following information carefully:
💕 PART ONE: Student Participation Days 💕
Each day, students will have a chance to do something small but meaningful for their teachers and staff. Here’s the magical schedule:
- Monday May 5: Flowers fit for Glinda: Room parents will be in touch to coordinate a class effort to bring a beautiful bouquet to your teacher.
- Tuesday May 6: Supplies for the Emerald City: Bring in some fun or useful supplies to help your teacher stock the classroom!
- Wednesday May 7: Defy Gravity in their Favorite Color: Wear your teacher's favorite color
- Thursday May 8: Snacks and Spells: Bring your teacher their favorite snacks or treats
- Friday May 9: For Good, A Card from the Heart: A printed page will be sent home via kid mail on Monday of teacher appreciation week. Students should add a heartfelt message, drawing, poem, collage - any creation that is comfortable and meaningful to them. Please bring your finished page back to school today (5/9). 💚 PART TWO: PTSA Organized Meals, Treats, and Gifts 💚
Did you know that PTSA organizes a meal, gift or treats for the staff everyday during staff week?? Wether you can donate a few items, or lend a helping hand, your time and contributions will help our teachers feel POPULAR!

- Monday: Bobcat Breakfast at Shiz - Bagel Bar
- Tuesday: Defying Grounds and Glinda's Goodies - Coffee and Pastries
- Wednesday: Sundaes in the Emerald City - Ice Cream Sunday Bar
- Thursday: Green with Gratitude - Gifts and Swag for Staff
- Friday: Thrill and Grill in the Land of Oz - BBQ Lunch
