"In the State Tournament this past weekend, Madeline Gration and Olivia Trejo tied for the Best Speakers' award. I am proud of all Colt Debaters who persevered and participated in each tournament --Ryin Holmes, Emmanuel Tillman, and Ava Siloterio! 🛫 Leaving ASD at the End of the Year? 🛫
If your student is NOT returning to ASD after this school year, make sure you read this!
If your student is NOT returning to ASD next year, whether because you're moving out of state or your student is transferring to a different school district in Alaska, here are two important steps to know:
Step 1: Notify Mrs. Christina! Mrs. Christina, our Registrar, will be able to provide you with the withdrawal process to ensure a smooth transition.
Step 2: Prepare your student to turn in their Chromebook at the end of the school year.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Christina Kelly at 907-742-3609 or by email at kelly_christina@asdk12.org.

🐦 Wildlife Awareness 🪶
This week at Gruening, we had a visitor in the form of a Spruce Grouse. Our office staff have been in touch with the Bird Treatment and Learning Center. They have asked us to please let it be. During this time of year, animals wake and start nesting, and it is believed that is what our friend is doing
❤️ Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Day - Next Tuesday! ❤️
Please join us on Tuesday, May 5, by wearing red in observance of Wear Red Day. On this day, we bring awareness to the many Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
By wearing red, we draw attention to a movement that seeks to honor those who have been affected by violence and to raise awareness about the ongoing issues surrounding the safety and rights of Alaska Native and Native American communities.
