Heartland's Digital Learning Team is excited to offer another Day of AI workshop on December 5! This daylong workshop is designed to empower educators with the necessary knowledge to effectively utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The agenda covers a range of essential topics, including:

• An introductory overview of AI's role in education
• Exploration of AI tools tailored for personalized instruction
• Fostering AI literacy among students
• Navigating associated challenges

To maximize the impact of this workshop, we encourage you to bring a small team of colleagues to collaborate and implement strategies together. Register soon, as space is limited and spots will fill up fast!

The Digital Learning Team has been developing an AI Passport program - a self-paced module series designed to help students navigate the world of artificial intelligence. This program equips students with essential knowledge and skills to use AI effectively and ethically in school settings. Through engaging, student-friendly lessons, participants explore AI fundamentals, address issues of bias and equity, master prompt design, and learn the importance of proper citations. By fostering digital literacy and responsible technology use, the AI Passport empowers students to confidently and ethically engage with AI in academic and personal contexts.

Adobe Express offers a "12 Days of Creativity" program, featuring activities designed to take less than 10 minutes each. These Guided Activities include clear instructions in text, audio, and video formats, making them easy to implement as plug-and-play tasks for kids. They introduce students to various features in Adobe Express with minimal preparation required from teachers.

Computer Science Education Week is an annual call to action! Let's inspire K-12 students to dive into the world of computer science, champion equity, and celebrate the incredible work of students, teachers, and partners shaping the future of technology.

The Tab Update feature in Google Docs introduces a new way to organize and navigate lengthy documents by allowing users to create separate sections using tabs on the left sidebar. These tabs function like a built-in table of contents, making it easy to jump between different topics or sections within the Google Doc. This feature enhances organization and collaboration by keeping everything structured and accessible in one place. To use it, simply designate headings or sections in your document, and the tabs will automatically populate for streamlined navigation.
