BANDtober 2026

October is a very busy month in the world of Texas HS bands, so much so that the term BANDtober has been coined recently.

Please make sure that your children stay rested and hydrated throughout this busy month. Check the important dates below.

The ninth week of school is around the corner ... and so is the 9 weeks eligibility check. Make sure your child is keeping up with their school work .. read more below.

We only lost 3 marchers during the first eligibility check. They must attend all practices and will be out of all games, contests, and pep rallies for the next 3 weeks.

The next grade check will be the nine weeks grade check on Oct. 8. Students MUST pass ALL classes otherwise they will miss out on all performances for the remainder of the fall season.

Monthly Booster Meetings are held in the band hall on Tuesdays at 6:30PM. Enter through the back green doors. Booster meetings are free and open to the public.

If you missed the meeting, the minutes and financial report will be posted on Presto in the document file by Monica Snapp and Jazmin Azcona. The next meeting will be Wednesday, 10/7, at 6:30PM in the bandhall.

Yearly Marching band fees are $200.00 They cover the cost of feeding the kids when we have games on school days, marching shoes, and instrument rental fees. Beginners, most 3rd, 7th and 8th period fees are $30 only for instrument rentals.

Please log into Presto (see article below). When you log in, you will be able to see how much you owe for this year's band fees. Fees can be paid by cash or check to the band directors.
