October 18th - MTV Weekly Update
Week of October 18 - 23rd
12:30PM Early Release ALL WEEK - Conferences Tues-Thurs
Conferences are this week! If you do not have your conference scheduled, yet, connect with your student's teacher to schedule your conference date and time. Conferences must be scheduled, we cannot accomodate drop-ins.
We NEED volunteers at MTV! Complete the Volunteer Form AND reach out to our main office at 360-426-8564 to find out ways to volunteer at MTV. We are looking for volunteers to help - let us know if you are interested in any of the following:
- on the playground and teach kids how to play football, soccer, or even four square
- at lunch to build connections to make good decisions
- in the classroom reading wih students or helping with small groups.
- in the book room to organize books or help with copying projects.
- plus so much more... community builds success in schools.
Please remember that doors open at 8:30AM for ALL students. We are having students come to the gym for breakfast. Students are then dismissed by grade level to their classes. We are asking families to not escort students to their classes as it creates additional bodies into the hallways. All volunteers must be pre-arranged with the teacher.
Toys, electronics, and sports equipment are to be kept at home as they become a distraction at school. If your student's teacher has a special event to allow stuffies or other items, they will let you know.
Pick Up and Drop Off. At the start of the year, teachers will send home two placards with your student. Please put the placard in the front window of your vehicle to assist us with efficiency of connect you and your student. Please help us keep students and family safe. If you are doing curbside pick-up or drop-off, please do not let your students out until you have passed the crosswalk. We also encourage having your student in the passenger side of the car to support their safety as they exit the vehicle. If you are walking up to the school, please park your car in a parking space - do not park on the driveway or curb. This will help expedite student pick-up/drop-off and keep everyone safe.
CONFETTI FOCUS: This year, as a district, our PBIS focus is "Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe"
- π Looks Like: keeping hands & feet to self, using materials correctly
- πSounds Like: "I made a mistake and I can fix it!"
- β€οΈ Feels Like: included, belonging, confident, and successful
